Coronavirus UPDATE

An update on what’s happening at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH in light of the developing coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

As you probably know, the Center for Disease Control has recommended against gatherings larger than 10 people.

In light of this, the pastoral staff at First Baptist has prayerfully decided to transition our services to an online only format.

If you haven't already, please take this opportunity to watch Pastor Brian's message to the church featured on our homepage.

Still have questions? Here are a few FAQs that may help:

Will There Be Church This Sunday?

We will have one service online only at 10:00 am. You can access it at www.fbcpc.com, and on major social media platforms like Facebook, and YouTube.

Will there be Wednesday evening activities?

At this time there will be no regular Wednesday evening activities, but online content will be available at www.fbcpc.com every week for adults.

Will there be any Wednesday activities for children and youth?

Children and Youth will have online content available on the FBCPC Children’s Ministry Facebook page, or The FBCPC Youth Ministry Facebook page.

What options do I have to tithe?

Online giving is a great option and can be found at www.fbcpc.com, or on the church app. You are also welcome to bring your tithe by the church office.

Will my small group still meet?

Although small groups will not be meeting on campus, we encourage you to get together in homes, or perhaps in unconventional ways like Zoom, Google Hangout, or Skype.

When will we have regular activities again?

As soon as we receive the go ahead from federal, state, and local authorities.

How do I access the service online?

You can access the sermon live, or after the fact at www.fbcpc.com.

Where can I get updates and online content during this season?

All updates and online content, including a daily encouragement from our pastors, and staff will be available on the “Home page” at www.fbcpc.com.

Will there be sermon notes available?

Sermon notes will be available on the church website adjacent to the Sunday Service Video.

Is the church office open?

As of right now the church office is still open Monday – Thursday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, and until 12:00 pm on Fridays. Please check the church website or social media frequently for updated information.

What can I do if I need to reach a pastor?

You can always reach us by calling the church office, or via email! We are here and still ready to help facilitate ministry at all times.

How can I help?

As always, and especially now you can help by being the church. Be salt and light to your friends, neighbors, and coworkers. Matthew 5: 13 -16

During this time, we are asking you to help stop the spread of the virus in the following ways:

  1. Stay at home when you or a family member are sick.

  2. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

  3. Cover your sneeze or cough with a tissue or your arm.

  4. Get in the habit of NOT touching your face so often.

  5. Forgo shaking hands for a wave or a friendly smile.

  6. If you or someone you know tests positive for COVID-19, please let us know so we can find a way to help, pray for everyone involved and take any necessary precautions here at First Baptist.

While we cannot control the virus, the spread, or the impact it has in our church, we’re doing everything we can to make this campus as safe and clean as possible. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to help us do just that. We must also remember that God has not called us to live in fear but in faith. As the apostle, Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For the Spirit of God does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.” Our prayer is that God will fill all of us with these three gifts, no matter what comes our way.
