Day of Prayer 7/14
2 Chronicles 7:13-14
The Lord said, “If I shut the sky so there is no rain, or if I command the grasshopper to consume the land, or if I send pestilence on my people, and my people, who bear my name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.”
Prayer Station 1: Confession of sin
Do you think more highly of yourself than you should?
Are you quick to blame others for all the wrongs in your life?
Is pride hindering your fellowship with God?
Is pride hindering a healthy marriage?
Is pride hurting your family?
Is your life absent of prayer?
Do you daily seek the Lord’s face - to give Him praise as well as seek Him for direction?
What evil ways (sin) do you need to turn from in your life? (Don’t rush these questions)
Prayer Station 2: Lord, remind me that I (we) am (are) in a spiritual battle.
Ephesians 6:12, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens.”
The devil wants to destroy you. Pray for protection.
The devil wants to destroy your family. Pray for protection.
The devil wants to destroy our church. Pray for protection.
The devil wants to destroy our nation. Pray for protection.
Prayer Station 3: Lord, heal our land of the corona virus!
Pray by name for those you know who have recently been diagnosed with the virus.
Pray a vaccine will be found (very soon) that will hopefully alleviate fears many have about the virus.
Pray there will be a respect of others that have different thoughts and attitudes about the virus
Prayer Station 4: Lord, heal our land of racial unrest!
Pray that each person will remember that every person is created in God’s image.
Pray for those that want to stoke the fires of racial unrest even more will be stopped.
Pray for those that can wisely and peacefully address the challenges to be heard.
Prayer Station 5: Lord, heal our land of uncivil discourse and actions!
Pray that each person will be quick to hear and slow to speak.
Pray that each person will seek truth over feeling and opinion.
Pray that our society will realize the value of respectful debate instead of uncivil actions.
Prayer Station 6: Humbly pray, “Thank you, Lord!”
Thank the Lord for hearing our prayer.
Thank the Lord for forgiving our sin.
Thank the Lord in advance for healing our land.
